LIQUIDLOOP GmbH has an immediate opening for a Project Manager based in Berlin, Germany. We seek an enthusiastic and conscientious candidate to join our diverse and talented team to push the frontiers of crucial technology in the fight to reduce CO2 emissions.


With Liquidloop, we aim to provide tools that empower researchers and industries to make a real impact on global emissions. We currently focus on developing a laboratory research instrument for electrochemistry, a field that will enable energy transition and shift from use of fossil fuels to green, sustainable fuels and chemicals coming from renewable energy sources.


In this position, you will become part of a vibrant interdisciplinary team developing a novel chemical analysis instrument that are more precise, efficient, and cost-effective than others currently available.


Our history: 

LIQUIDLOOP technology reveals a unique approach for real-time chemical monitoring due to many years of development. Founded in 2021, LIQUIDLOOP is the first exclusive liquid real-time detection company focusing entirely on the carbon-neutral fuels research. In 2022 LIQUIDLOOP set up production of its first devices and delivered them to academic customers. As of today, the LIQUIDLOOP product portfolio counts already with many commercialised product devices.

We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for a motivated Hardware Engineer to support the development, assembly, validation, and certification of our systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a start-up environment, combining creativity with precision, and with a strong commitment to quality and regulatory standards.  

Your Responsibilities

Production & System Assembly

Assemble and integrate hardware components such as vacuum pumps, pneumatic actuators, valves, sensors, and fluidic systems

Build mechanical frames, front and back panels, structural components, and device enclosures

Follow internal production and assembly guidelines to ensure consistent and reproducible device manufacturing

Work closely with production management to coordinate assembly tasks and production workflows

Support production assessment and troubleshooting during device assembly and system integration


System Validation & Diagnostics

Test and validate vacuum, gas handling, and fluidic subsystems (leak testing, sealing integrity, pressure stability)

Perform diagnostic tests and performance validation on assembled systems

Identify potential technical issues and support system debugging and optimization


Quality Assurance & Documentation

Participate in quality assurance checks during development and after final assembly

Report and document non-conformities, contributing to root-cause analysis and corrective actions

Ensure production documentation and assembly procedures remain accurate and up to date


CAD & Technical Documentation

Maintain and update CAD models and technical drawings of mechanical assemblies

Interpret and follow complex technical diagrams, system schematics, and mechanical layouts

Support the preparation of technical documentation for production and certification processes


Process Development

Support the implementation and improvement of assembly and production workflows

Contribute to the development of structured production protocols and QA procedures

Track tasks and progress through our project planning and Gantt-based project management tools


Your Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Experience with hardware assembly or production of technical systems or scientific instruments

Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and complex system diagrams

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar)

Hands-on experience with workshop machinery (drill press, milling machine, disk cutter, etc.)

Structured and independent working style with strong attention to detail

Ability to collaborate closely with production management and engineering teams

Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

German at minimum A2 level required, B2+ proficiency is a strong plus
